Initial interview (October) consisted of meeting with DM at a store out of the area where job posted was located. DM asked basic operations and merchandising questions. I thought the process went quite well. However, the DM was very interested in what my thoughts were for working at that particular store. I wasn't interested in commuting that far on a daily basis. I questioned her about the position I had applied to and she said there was a possibility something would open in the near future. A couple of months later (December) I received an email asking if I was still interested in a position at the original store. I met with the store manager a couple of days later. It was a very relaxed interview process. She wanted to know what type of manager I was - hands on, lead by example and my physical abilities - climbing ladders, lifting, working freight, etc. I thought it a bit strange that the assistant mgr. position had been open for awhile and that the starting date was after Christmas. The interview went well, although I seemed to have had more experience than she. Needless to say, I never heard from anyone and every now and then, the same position is posted again.
