I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kirkland's (Branson, MO) in Nov 2013
Interview
I stopped by the store to fill out an application. The assistant manager was nice and friendly. She said there was no place to sit down, but I could go outside and fill out the application at the Pretzel Store nest door. About two days later, I got a call from the Manager, to come in to fill out more paper work. Apparently, the phone call was the "interview" because I was coming in to fill out hiring paper-work. The Manager gave me a time over the phone that was a half-hour later, than several other people they were trying to shuttle-thru for the Holiday Season. That should have been my warning, that this Manager was over-busy and often forgot what she said or changed her mind frequently about what she had told people. She called it "being flexible." But she never, ever forgot the least minuscule mistake you might make.
