Kiva recruiter contacted me less than a week after I applied to set up a screener interview. Very friendly and engaging first interview and the recruiter really sold me on the organization and the opportunity. We had a hiccup scheduling the next interview with the hiring manager as the meeting was changed to a time when I was not available and we had to push back/reschedule by a week.
The interview with the hiring manager went okay. We just didn't click. I think my ambivalence about continuing to work completely remotely came through and I think the hiring manager probably had stronger candidates that aligned with her vision of the position. I've learned through the years that if you don't click, don't take it personally. I wasn't right for the position and the position wasn't right for me. It goes both ways. The recruiter got back to me in a few days with a very pleasant follow-up letting me know that they had moved on to other candidates.
