      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at KnowInk (Saint Louis, MO) in Apr 2026

      Interview

I was contacted on LinkedIn on March 26th by the Director of People & Culture stating she was impressed by my experience on my profile and asked "Would you be open to a quick conversation? I'd love to share more about what we're building and why I think you'd love it here." I replied that I would love to connect and learn more about Knowink. We met the next day over Teams to discuss an open position. After a brief discussion I told her that I was interested. She said she would send me a job description and set up a time for a formal interview with her the following week. I received the job description and I interviewed with her on March 31st. The interview was very positive, so much so that she schedule an in person interview with the Director of QA that afternoon and stated "So looking forward to having you visit us here at KNOWiNK for your inperson interview!!!" The in person interview was on April 7th. The Director of QA was very nice and the interview went well. He stated a couple times that he thought I was underselling myself and everything was very positive. I waited until April 15th to send a follow up email. I heard back from the Director of People & Culture on April 16th stating "Sorry for the delay I was getting updates. Do you have time for a catch-up call tomorrow?" So, I met with her on April 17th. On that call she stated that they had another role open up that they thought I would be great for and wanted to know if I was interested. I said "yes" and she said she would talk to the Director of QA to get the job description and she would send it over to me. It's now May 20th and that's the last I heard from anyone at Knowink. I followed up on April 28th via email to the Director of People & Culture and to both her and the Director of QA via email on May 11th. Somewhere in between those two emails, I called the Director of People & Culture and left a message. I also messaged her on LinkedIn on May 12th. What I don't understand is that they recruited me and now they are ghosting me. All it takes is a simple reply to say "we decided to move on with another candidate" or "sorry, we had some things come up and we still like you as a candidate but it's going to be a few weeks before we can move forward" or something like that. It's simply rude to spend that much time with a candidate and express how impressed you are with the candidate's experience to totally ghost them. It really makes no sense to me.
