they were looking to fill an immediate need for an upcoming deadline. I basically had the equivalent of 3 interviews in one. First I met with a group of 3 individuals in varying positions. They each gave their input on the project and then asked me to show my work. I presented my work for a few minutes and we had a short chat about the specifics of my skills. After that, I was given a short performance evaluation on the company's proprietary software. This was something I agreed to beforehand so I was expecting it, although I didn't know exactly what to expect. The test took around 30 minutes. Then I met with the CTO for the final interview. We briefly discussed some of the same things and his insights on the direction of the company. At the end he asked me for my rates. After we finished chatting he said they'd be in touch in a day or so. The entire thing took about 2 hours so I was there for quite a long time but it went quickly. Everyone I met was friendly and knowledgeable. Since it is a smaller company, there seemed to be a certain team dynamic set in place so its important to them that you can fit into their culture. My impression is that its pretty laid back while they take their work very seriously and the product is high quality. I don't know if this interview process is a typical situation since this particular role was for an immediate need, but overall It was a pleasant experience.
