I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kohl's in Oct 2016
Interview
Applied online, and was offered an interview the next day. Scheduled my interview later on in the week. Interview process was very easy. I arrived 10 minutes prior to interview with the Ops manager to customer service. I know a couple of associates at the store so I was very comfortable when I ran into them. The ops manager was super nice and she took me and another candidate into the back room past the break room. It was considered a "group interview" but lasted like 30 minutes or less. She took turns asking us questions. She gave us a business card said we should know within 48 hours. I found out the next day I got the job (via email). I submitted my paperwork online (drug test consent, background check consent) the same day.
The only thing that is taking forever is the background check. Here is my timeline so far:
Friday 10/28 interview
Saturday 10/29 offered job and filled out paperwork
Currently Monday (11/7), yesterday spoke to the ops manager and she said she would check why it is taking so long..I also emailed the Kohl's Career center on Thursday 11/3. The ops manager got back to me yesterday and said that it can take 5-7 business days and if I don't hear anything by Tuesday or Wednesday I should call her. The career center emailed back Monday 11/7 and stated that my check was in process and once it was processed I will receive an email to schedule my orientation. I am getting worried because Black Friday is nearing and I want to make sure I am trained and ready to go!
Other than the long background check, the interview process is easy. I am looking forward to my soon to be employment!
Basic simple interview, mine was over the phone asking availability, why you want to work here, your strengths and weaknesses. They will tell you a little bit about working there and the company and thats about it. Nothing difficult and they will give you scenarios to see how you would handle them.

I applied online. I interviewed at Kohl's (Stockbridge, GA)
Interview
Process was pretty simple and straightforward. Longest part was waiting between the initial application and being selected to schedule an interview, which took about 6 weeks. My phone interview lasted around 20 minutes where they asked the typical questions. I was hired the next day.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Kohl's (Westminster, CO) in Nov 2025
Interview
Got the interview but was told to re-schedule to the next day just 45 mins ahead. Then the manager or supervisor (named Laura) never called back. I don't even bother to call them back because I ended up accepted a better offer from another company.
