I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kohl's (Orlando, FL) in Jun 2017
Interview
As I got in, I was interviewed by one of the managers. He asked several questions including the how long and why and how would I handle situations. After that, he spent a good ten minutes talking about what he wants for an employee and the policies of the company. This lasted around 30 minutes, then I had to wait at another office to see the supervisor of the Sales Floor Team. When she arrived, she asked me the yes and no questions verifying what I said to the other manager was accurate. Then she asked me why I chose my college major, which was odd but answered anyways. After I explained to her, she was impressed by my education credentials (I was a Dual Enrollment student), so she hired me on the spot and told me my pay ($9/hr.)
About 20 minutes , basic questions about teamwork and customer service. Had the interview and they called a few minutes later to offer me the job. The interviewer was very nice and made me feel calm
It was painless and super easy and I'm just putting in this information so I can view the average salaries of a company because I can't use Glassdoor unless I do this.
It was over the phone and very straight forward. I spoke with the current 02 (Assistant Store Manager) at the time and it focused on previous experiences in teams. Afterward, I received an email to complete the onboarding process online, filling out paperwork.
