The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kohl's (Temecula, CA) in Aug 2018
Interview
Received an email for an interview invite where you choose your own appointment online and tells you arrive to Customer Service desk 5 mins early. They send me to the break room where it’s full of other candidates also waiting (it was never stated there would be a group interview) we awkwardly sit silent for 30 minutes until we we ushered to a room with rows of chairs.
She went around the room asking everyone to tell about themselves, and then would select someone randomly to ask a “random” question. She started
asking certain people more questions and other people didn’t get any questions at all, I think she makes up her mind at the “tell me about yourself part” or just looks at you visually to decide.
The most disturbing question I recall was “Name something you’re BETTER at than everyone else.” It was a little hilarious to hear that in an interview and not a preschool hahah
When the interview ended we all walked out and shook her hand, I handed her my resume and she looked at it like she’s never seen one before and said “oh.... okay?” So a resume was not required at all.
Overall it all seemed a very robotic, calculated process, the lady rarely looked up from her clipboard as she was filling out some sort of assessment test for everyone, I was a little disappointed that I didn’t feel heard or listened to from this company at all. I was jobless with 100% full availability and 9 years retail experience and still was not chosen so it is more based on passing the assessment test
Basic simple interview, mine was over the phone asking availability, why you want to work here, your strengths and weaknesses. They will tell you a little bit about working there and the company and thats about it. Nothing difficult and they will give you scenarios to see how you would handle them.

I applied online. I interviewed at Kohl's (Stockbridge, GA)
Interview
Process was pretty simple and straightforward. Longest part was waiting between the initial application and being selected to schedule an interview, which took about 6 weeks. My phone interview lasted around 20 minutes where they asked the typical questions. I was hired the next day.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Kohl's (Westminster, CO) in Nov 2025
Interview
Got the interview but was told to re-schedule to the next day just 45 mins ahead. Then the manager or supervisor (named Laura) never called back. I don't even bother to call them back because I ended up accepted a better offer from another company.
