I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Kohl's (Ames, IA) in Mar 2013
Interview
Very strange ... they interview in groups to save themselves time which means you have to essentially say what the person before you said. The position kept coming open because they couldn't keep anybody in it. Every time I would apply they would call me in for an interview but would fill the position the day before my interview was scheduled. Then they'd call and say 'but would you be interested in something else open? Like maybe unloading trucks?'
The office seems very disorganized and all over the place.

Question 1
The dreaded "give an example of how you ..."
Without time to chew on that, it is difficult.
Easy to schedule and they were flexible on times. Recruiter was very detailed, thorough, and professional. Was open to explaining about the company, benefits, and open role. Did not feel rushed and the time flew by.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kohl's (New York, NY) in May 2019
Interview
Very disorganized and, as I found out, dishonest. They didn't have this position available and I was called the day before my interview to be informed of that. They had it open to lure people in to try to get them to do cashiering. Shameful.

Would you be interested in being a Sales Associate instead?

The position was titled "Administrative Assistant" but it is a customer service role! You do cashiering, stocking, fitting rooms, etc. That is NOT what an Administrative Assistant does! The lady told me that every one there does the same jobs and they all cross-train lol such a waste of time. I thought this was a legit admin assistant.
