Upon arriving, those whose who applied online filled a hard copy of their application. And the group was called back, and read questions from a sheet by 2 interviewers, the group was encouraged to answer each question in any order they like. Some questions were mandatory, others weren't and we were reminded that each answer we gave was the only way they would get to know us. after 9 questions, we were given the background check release, and lead into a one on one (two technically) interview to discuss availability and the like.
Relatively easy asked me to tell them about how I would handle different situations and previous retails experience. I interviewed with a manager and was asked about my availability. I got a call the same day.

Group interview in conference room of the store. Very calm atmosphere with two of the managers and easy questions . About Kohl's history and past experience with customer service. They went around the room and everyone took turns answering and told us asked the people who passed the interview to stay afterwards.
