I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Kohl's (Milwaukee, WI) in May 2021
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter for a position in Kohl’s legal department. After not being given a straight answer about the salary range for the position, and making it very clear to the recruiter that I didn’t want to waste my time putting together a resume and cover letter for a position that was below my salary requirements, I was assured that it was worthwhile to send him my resume. I spent time updating my resume and preparing a cover letter that evening (as promised during the call with the recruiter) only to be completed ghosted. I haven’t even received a confirmation of receipt of my resume despite reaching out through LinkedIn to make sure he got my email. Very unprofessional way unprofessional way of recruiting.

Question 1
I asked about salary range and was not given a straight answer. I got the “we just want the right person in the position.” That tells me the salary range is below market.
