I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kumon (Fort McMurray, AB) in Oct 2021
Interview
A friend, who worked at Kumon at the time, told her manager that I was interested in applying for a job at the establishment. I was told by my friend that a resume, cover letter, and interview was not required. Instead, the manager requested that I come in and "shadow" current employees and work alongside them for a week, similar to a "test trial" period. If she deemed you capable, you get the job, but I imagine the process may differ for others as I "applied" through my friend/an in-company reference as opposed through an official hiring website.
They do an online interview over Zoom once, where they ask you general interview prep questions and other questions about your resume. They then invite you for an in-person interview and make you take a small math test alongside it. The whole process takes months. They sent me an email saying they liked me. Then 3 months later, when I had already gave up hope, they emailed me asking if I was still open to working there since they were still deciding. Never got another email since.
I applied online. I interviewed at Kumon (Milton Keynes, England)
Interview
the process was easy/okay there wasnt any hard questions and they were mostly personality questions and about my reasons for wanting to join the team and how well i work with other people
Quite a short and informal interview process - I was asked about my background experience, why I wanted to work there and then I was hired on the spot afterwards
