I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kyocera (Concord, CA) in Sep 2017
Interview
I interviewed for the .NET software engineer position with the Concord branch. Expect the on-site interview (including a one hour written exam) to be rigorous but fair - know your fundamentals, and be prepared for an odd-ball, think outside the box question. My impression of the manager of the team was that he seems laid back and would be a good manager to work under. I was given an offer but ultimately decided to stay with my current company when they made me a counteroffer I could not pass up.
The 2 ladies at Kyocera's HR that guided me through the hiring process and after the offer were both friendly, helpful, and accommodating. More importantly, I felt that they actually cared about me joining the Kyocera family, as opposed to just another employee to be hired.
Had I joined Kyocera, I think I would have learned a lot there. The rigorousness and depth of the interview indicated to me the caliber and knowledge that you have to bring to the table, as well as the level of the work you'll be performing. While the salary may not be on the high end of range, the benefits that they offer are significantly better than what I've seen at your typical big company, which you'd have to take into account as part of the total compensation package.
