I applied online. I interviewed at L'Oréal (Düsseldorf) in Apr 2017
Interview
After sending L'Oréal Germany my CV (no motivation letter was needed), I have received an invitation to participate in an assessment center for the whole day after about 2 weeks.
The day consisted of different tasks (yet typical for any assessment center): a self-presentation, a group exercise in English and a business case study. After completion of all the assignments you will receive an individual feedback by the HR team and (depending on your performance) they either send you home or to an additional interview with the brand/department they have chosen for you.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at L'Oréal (Düsseldorf) in Mar 2013
Interview
Fairly easy. First I did not receive any response from the HR team, but once I contacted them again everything went very quick and I received my internship offer within 1 week.
First round: Telephone interview with intern representative. He was very friendly and asked the normal fit questions. First I had to go through my CV and talk about my background. Then I was asked why I want to work for the company etc.
I heard 2 days later that I was in the next round.
Second round: Personal interview with the team lead and team manager of my potential team. Again very friendly. Basically same procedure as the first round. However, this time I had to identify a target group according to a product they gave me.
