I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at L'Oréal (London, England) in Aug 2024
Interview
Stage 1, meet with the recruiter to discuss your background and in depth conversation on your understanding of the job description/role. Stage 2, meet with the hiring manager to discuss your background and the role in further detail. Stage 3, do a case study on the current product and problem they are facing, as well as how to conceptualize a new product and bring that to market. This case study requires presenting to the hiring manager and a more technical senior member of the team. Step 4, meet with the hiring manager’s boss to discuss your background.
Beware: you may go through this entire process only to be rejected with the response being no negative feedback, just “we’re thinking of changing this role and what we’re looking for” after you’ve done the entire interview process and given them your ideas in the case study for free.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain your thoughts on the product and what you’d be doing in this role.
The interview process started well but turned out to be lengthy and unstructured. The HR/hiring team added more interviews along the way and new metrics to measure fit to the role.
