      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at L&T Technology Services (Bengaluru) in Nov 2025

      Interview

The process started with a screening call from a recruiter to review and confirm my skills, experience, and the job description, followed by scheduling the interview with LTTS. I was asked to carry a government ID, which they photographed. Interview experience The first round was a 1-hour virtual interview conducted over Microsoft Teams, with instructions stating: “As discussed, your interview has been scheduled with LTTS. Please be available on time, join the call 5 minutes early, and ensure your camera is turned on during the interview process. Kindly accept the calendar invite to confirm your availability.” Despite this, the interviewer joined 10 minutes late, explaining that the delay was due to wrapping up the previous call, so in total, 15 minutes of the 60-minute timeslot were wasted. Red flag 1 – Undisclosed ID requirement At the start of the call, they asked me to display my government ID via screen sharing so they could take a screenshot, even though this was never mentioned in any of their emails or earlier communication. Red flag 2 – Lack of respect for time Although candidates are instructed to join early and be on camera, the interviewer arrived 10 minutes late, resulting in a 25% loss of the scheduled interview time. Feedback about the company Candidates coming from product-based companies may find this process unproductive, regardless of how well they perform in the interview. Red flag 3 – No post-interview communication There was no response after the interview, and they did not demonstrate basic professionalism in acknowledging or replying to follow-up emails. Red flag 4 – Ignoring even the recruiter The recruiter later mentioned that the team was not even responding to her calls, which further highlights poor communication and lack of professionalism on their side Because of the way they handled the process, it feels like their lack of professionalism could extend to how they use my ID proof and personal data. This raises serious concerns about potential misuse of the government ID they photographed, especially since the requirement was not clearly disclosed before the interview and they did not communicate with me after the interview.
