After applying to the role on the company website, the Talent Acquisition Specialist contacted me the following week via email to schedule a 15-minute screening phone call. The Talent Acquisition Specialist called me almost 10 minutes later than expected to host a brief review of my experience, background, and what I am seeking for my next role. They agreed to schedule me for the first stage interview while on the phone for the next week, which was confirmed and scheduled on Microsoft Teams with the hiring team member. Overall, they said the interview process would be quick as the hiring manager is looking to fill the position as soon as possible.
The interview process was described as having three stages:
1. focused on a deeper review of background and experience with a member of the hiring team
2. focused on technical competence with a member of the hiring team
3. a panel interview/discussion with the hiring team
The hiring team member failed to log on to the scheduled 45-minute Microsoft Teams meeting, which was intended as the first stage interview. After following up via email several times to reschedule the interview during the same week, the Talent Acquisition Specialist replied that they would look into it. One week after the initial ‘missed’ first stage interview, they informed me that the hiring manager is moving forward with a different candidate.
