Very laid back interview, I was asked general interview questions asked. Quick onboarding process, schedule was all over the place though. They had a specific program that was used for scheduling.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at LOFT in Apr 2018
Interview
This was possibly the most insulting interview I have ever been on. First, my interviewer was almost an hour late. Then she called me back and had clearly not read my resume even though I handed her a copy at the start of the interview. She for some reason seemed fixated on my oldest job experience, possibly because it had had the same title of co-manager, but I have years more experience at the same and higher levels of management that she asked me nothing about. She asked me nothing about my current full-time retail management position and instead focused on my supplementary (for fun) part time job as a sales associate. She asked if I had ever worked in a fast paced environment, which clearly from my resume I have. She didn't bother to delve in with me about this experience and if she had let me she would have discovered that 3 out of 4 of my previous stores were higher volume than the one she was interviewing me for. She instead asked me a few standard questions directly off a list in front of her and didn't seem to be paying attention during my answers. I took the time to prepare and arrive on time for this interview and wish my interviewer had shown the same basic courtesy. I have seven years of management experience at quality specialty retailers- This is my chosen career and I believe I have the experience necessary to be taken seriously in any interview. I'm not sure what her motivation was for behaving this way in an interview but I left 100% sure I no longer wanted to work for this company.
