The plant manager was a former quality manager at an automotive supplier. I was the third, and last, candidate to interview for the job. It was pretty clear the moment I walked in that his mind was already made up, that he had already selected one of the two prior interviewees. He seemed disinterested . . . asked basic questions about my job history, about my skill set, but never made eye contact during the process . . . he should have called me the day before and said he'd found the perfect candidate and not gone through the motions of an interview
