      Project Manager Interview

      Nov 5, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Chicago, IL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LaSalle Network (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2015

      Interview

A fun process! I actually applied with LaSalle as a candidate and they identified me as a potential person to join their team. After speaking with a project manager about my resume and background I was handed over to another member of the team (who I later found out was a member of internal recruiting). His questions were a bit more direct and challenging, which I considered to be strange for a candidate interview. Midway through our conversation he asked, "Have you ever thought about recruiting?" After gaining my interest in LaSalle and the recruiting industry in general I started the formal interview process that took a total of 2 weeks. I met with 3 people over 2 hours during my second visit to LaSalle. Everyone I spoke with was easy to talk to and very enthusiastic about what they do. I was allowed to ask several questions myself, which gave me additional insight into the culture at LaSalle. I was asked to return the following week to meet with the CEO. When I returned the next week, Tom and I chatted for about 30 minutes. We seemingly had a positive connection, or possibly he was in a positively good mood, because he gave me the job offer on the spot!

      Interview

I had about 7 interviews. I met a lot people. It took me forever to get started. I would say the first 2 interviews were the hardest. After that, it felt much more conversational.

      Interview

It was really quick and casual. I interviewed before the long process they make you go through now. I originally interviewed as an external candidate for some of their job openings, but they thought I'd be an internal fit.
