I had a mixed experience with the interview process. The initial phone screening was with a recruiting associate who was very kind, but openly admitted they didn’t know much about the role. At one point, they even said, "The hiring manager already denied five people and I'm not sure why, since I thought they were qualified." While that was a bit concerning, I appreciated learning more about the company during the call.
The second interview was with Lexi, the hiring manager. She was also friendly, and the conversation felt positive, but the interview was only scheduled for 30 minutes—barely enough time to touch on the role itself. Despite what felt like a great connection, I received an automated rejection three days later. No follow-up or feedback from either the recruiter or Lexi.
What made it more frustrating was seeing Lexi post about the same role on LinkedIn shortly after. Maybe I wasn’t the right fit, and I understand that happens. But after investing time into preparing and interviewing, the least a company can do is send a thoughtful follow-up. The process felt rushed and impersonal, which was disappointing.
