Interview
First stage is a hirevue with normal, standard STAR questions. Second stage is an assessment centre day in the London office. This involved "speed" interviews in pairs with each of the departments (Office of General Counsel, Business Development, HR etc). They didn't ask any specific questions, very general STAR questions again... Then had to complete a really easy group "assessment" which was basically you just showing you could work well in a team/ listen to others/ lead. The final "activity" for the day was an hour networking session where you could talk to people who had initially interviewed you (make sure you speak with the heads of department you are interested in so they remember you- lots of people just sat around as they were too nervous)! After the assessment I was invited to do final round interviews over zoom for some of the departments that were interested in me which consisted of only 20 minute long zoom calls a couple days later. Consisted of very simple questions, reaffirming what you spoke with them about on the assessment day. I had done zero preparation for the assessment day/ final round interview, just going for the experience and I managed to land an offer. The main tip is to make sure you're confident and able to come across to them as easy to work with and you will do fine.

Interview
The first round of this process is HireVue. The HireVue is just to get to know you better, nothing very challenging or difficult. Second round consists of a big group zoom. You will have a chance to meet people currently working at Latham and learn more about the position. You'll be placed in a breakout room where you will all have to work through a case study. There will be someone monitoring your group so you will be able to ask them questions if you are confused but you also have your teammates there to help you out. After the group activity, you will have some one on one interviews. I was really nervous going into this because I didn't know what to expect but everyone that I spoke with was truly so kind. They all made me feel really comfortable and seemed excited to learn more about me. Shortly after the second round was over, I got an email inviting me to participate in the final round. The final round was in LA but no worries if you are from out of state, the Latham & Watkins team is super helpful and they were able to organize my flight and hotel accommodations for me. During the final round, it was more one on one interviews. All the questions were just about getting to know how I worked in a team and handle different situations. After the interviews, everyone eats lunch together. They gave all the interviewees assigned seating and then other people that were already working there were able to join our table and talk to us. This was amazing because I was able to hear from individuals from different departments. One man that I spoke to, he was super sweet and he showed me an app that he helped create for Latham (which was so cool). Also, the lady that was in my in breakout room came and said hi to me while I was eating lunch, which I thought was really thoughtful of her. She didn't need to do that but I thought just the fact that she remembered me and made it a point to come talk to me was so generous.
Meeting more of the Latham & Watkins team just made me even more excited for this opportunity. Throughout this whole process, there was constant communication so you were always aware of what was going on. Latham & Watkins made this process very smooth and made sure everyone was well taken care of.
