I was interviewed over the phone by a VP who asked me to prepare a presentation for other leaders to be scheduled the following week. I spent 12+ hours researching their business, product, market and competition, preparing a presentation that included a product pitch, market analysis, SWOT analysis and an overview of my talents, qualifications and metrics for success. I learned a lot about the company throughout this process and was excited to share my results, unfortunately I never heard back about scheduling that meeting. In fact, I never heard back at all despite multiple attempts to reach them. A lot of times initial phone screens (even by senior leaders) don't result in a follow-up interview, for a variety of reasons, but you should never ask a candidate to spend considerable time researching your business and preparing to deliver a formal presentation if you have no intention of moving forward with them. This tells me all I need to know about Leaflink: Haphazard, unprofessional, disrespectful.
