30 minute initial phone call with the president of the company, was not given the opportunity to ask any questions in this conversation. Nevertheless, went well and I was invited to the office for an in person. Before leaving, I met several members of the team and the person I met with indicated that he would be reaching out as he wanted me to come back in. I never heard from the company again. As a director in human resources, this was one of the most unprofessional experiences during an interview that I have been involved with. One of the largest marks (and red flags) of how a company, is not only how they treat their employees and clients who work with their product/service, but how they interact and treat those who don't. As a business and HR professional, I would never allow my team to treat a candidate the way I have been treated. Please work on your professional courtesy and respect the time of those who are carving time out of their busy schedules to work with you. Even if it is not a fit, taking 2 minutes to write a note goes a long way. Much room for improvement here - hopefully they fill this role quickly so that others will not have to go through the same negative experience.
