Was contacted by hiring manager and interviewed with him on 7/12. I followed up the following Thursday and was told I would have an update by next day EOD. I did not hear anything until 8/6 when I was sent a generic email saying that the position was filled. I feel like this is an unprofessional way to handle recruiting efforts. I totally understand if you want to move in a different direction but if you interview someone they deserve the respect to get updated throughout the process.
