I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Leica Biosystems (Bengaluru) in Aug 2017
Interview
It was very bad experience with them. Please do not attend their interview. Interview was for C# .Net WPF for Pathology Imaging IDC, leica Bangalore. Please see the below process through which I have gone.
1. Interview was scheduled by a recruitment agency called Allegis Bangalore and they Will never give you feedback on time
2. 1st Round was technical Skype discussion with Indian and UK people.
3.I cleared it and they have given me WPF assignment which I completed on sunday and submitted it to them.
3.After clearing it they called me for 3rd round at their office and it went for 2 hour's. After clearing it then final round was taken by Development manager.
4.After 3 days I got the call from Allegis and they scheduled my HR interview.
But at the last moment my HR Round was postponed due to no reason. I tried to take the follow up from Allegis but they never get back to me till today.
I have wasted my entire time for them. This company has less than 3.0 rating on glass door and they behaved as per their company rating.
Atleast give feedback to candidates who have completed all the rounds. It was very bad experience with Allegis

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Leica Biosystems (San Diego, CA) in Apr 2021
Interview
1. Recruiter screen, 2. manager screen, 3. 90 min Codility test, 4. 1-1 talks with managers and tech lead.
I felt it was really hard to learn about the job and didn't really get a good sense of the duties or culture until the very last step. Also, there is very little assessment of coding skill (Codility test is very easy, and other assessment is just test of basic programming trivia). Most of the conversation focused on "behavioral" assessment.
My feeling is that they have a strong preference for someone with a similar background (i.e. in an enterprise IT environment, working on legacy software, very documentation and process focused).

Interview
A recruiter from Mattson Resources reached out to me about this position. We had a phone call where we talked about the job and my experience. I mentioned I had a lot of similar experience but I didn't have the exact programming language listed on there (C++). He seemed to like me as a candidate and said he wanted to run me by the team even though I didn't have the C++ experience listed on the job experience. He asked me to send him an updated resume in the next couple days as I had not updated my resume in the past 5 years.
After I sent him the updated resume, I didn't hear back from him after about 3 weeks, at which point I messaged him again. He responded to the follow-up saying I needed the required amount of C++ experience and that we would not continue. This directly contradicts the exact reason why he asked me to update my resume and send it to him.
I'd ask that Leica Biosystems work with recruiters who don't run their candidates through hoops for no reason at all.
I applied online. I interviewed at Leica Biosystems (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2020
Interview
- Intro call with a recruiter
- Codility programming challenge
- Panel interview with 5 teammates
The interview steps are pretty much straight forward and I was able to answer most of their answer correctly but still, they told me you didn't answer some questions correctly. In fact, my answers were similar to something which they had accepted. Maybe lack of listening?
