Interviewer did not show much interest on getting to know more about my background or experience. Seemed like they were predetermined not to hire anyone but just use the excuse to go interview someone to get away from the office and charge the company hotel and meal expenses and a mini vacation. They spoke mostly about what his guys were doing on the field that day then actually interview me and get to know me. Sometimes I had to wait when he needed to catch his breath so I can use that opportunity to say something about myself that relates to my qualifications for the position. Then I was given a virtual 10 minute troubleshooting quiz. Next day was told by recruiter he felt I didn’t have good enough troubleshooting skills. Really???? Going to judge someone that’s been troubleshooting and resolving more complex technical problems in real life for a long time based on a virtual 10 minute quiz?? You can see why they mentioned someone was quitting and others were on lengthy prolonged vacations. Thanks for passing on me. It’s an indication of the culture.
