I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Leonardo (London, England) in Jan 2024
Interview
My recent interview experience with Leonardo left much to be desired. Despite initial expectations set for a standard interview format, the process took an unexpected turn with the introduction of a problem-solving question, including one concerning 18th-century navigation technology. While I value the assessment of logical thinking, the sudden shift in expectations was disconcerting.
What added to the confusion was the conflicting messages from interviewers regarding the expected response to the question. While at the beginning, they emphasized the importance of the thought process, the tone of the interview shifted abruptly at the end when one interviewer expressed a desire for a specific answer and proceeded to provide it themselves. This shift, accompanied by what I perceived as patronizing remarks, detracted from the professionalism of the interview process.
In conclusion, my experience with Leonardo's interview process fell short of expectations. I strongly assume that I wasn't successful in acquiring the job because of this ambiguous and unfair question.
