The job description wasn’t as clear as it could’ve been, and, despite being very frank about what kind of role I was looking for in the initial HR screening and my cover letter, they moved me forward in the process. The hiring manager stopped me on the phone to tell me we were misaligned on what the actual job was. Turns out I wasn’t qualified for it. I’m glad it was only an hour of my time wasted, but, in retrospect, it feels like a red flag with regard to their hiring process.

Initial phone interview as screener, followed by half day of various in-person interview (a few one-on-ones and one larger group interview). The interview process was very structured with pre-determined questions.
