Applied online my senior year in college. Took about a month to get word back from the recruiter. The recruiter asked standard preliminary information (why I want to work at Liberty, what I'm looking for in a job) and some open-ended questions on programming (why I majored in computer science, what excites me). This was done through Skype video. The recruiter told me I'd have my information passed to a hiring manager, and I was contacted by him within the week. Behavioral questions were asked ("tell me about a time when you had a conflict with somebody and how you resolved it") as well as extremely easy technical trivia questions ("in SQL, what does a select statement do?" and "in Java, what is every class's superclass?"). At the end, the hiring manager asks for your questions. This was also done through Skype video. I received an offer by the end of the week with a relocation bonus. Note: for your interviews, even if you're applying to be a software developer and even though you conduct it through Skype video, you still want to dress business formal. The company culture is more formal than the subculture of software development/IT, which is a lot more casual when you arrive.
