I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance
Interview
I applied on-line with no contact, so I did not expect to get a response. However, within a few days I received an email to schedule a phone interview. The first phone interview was really relaxed, as the recruiter was easy to talk to and very friendly. The next step was a second phone interview with the person who would be my supervisor if I were hired. Again it was a great conversation with nothing too tricky. The final step was an on-site interview. I went to Warrenville, IL (though depending on what part of the country you are in you may go to Oregon, Florida or Boston instead). This visit consisted of 2 1 hour interviews (one with the supervisor I had talked to before, the other with a different supervisor), a chance to meet people currently working as risk control consultants, and then a presentation. The presentation was about a project I had completed recently and why I wanted to work for Liberty Mutual. You must also bring examples of technical writing to the on-site interview.

The interview process began with a short phone interview with HR. Once this was conducted and I made it to the next step I worked with HR to schedule a face to face interview. I flew to the location and had the interview and then flew back home. It was a seamless process.
