I was contacted to schedule a Skype interview with a three person panel. Going in, as someone with an MLIS, I had huge respect for the LOC. I expected really nice and welcoming people. The panel consisted of two older men and a woman. The woman was very nice and respectful, the men were completely rude and unprofessional. One of the men leaned back and sat off camera the whole time as if he couldn't be bothered. The other man actually scoffed and made a face at one of my answers regarding my lack of experience with a certain technology. I was blown away by how I was treated and probably would not have accepted a position anyways because of how those two men made me feel. The questions were easy--just re-asked the KSAs from the application. I have not received a single email regarding a decision one way or the other, and it has been almost six weeks. I'm really disappointed that this was how the LOC chose to represent themselves.
