Lightning Bolt Solutions Applications Consultant interview questions

Firstly I got an email asking me to solve 3 puzzles. And then I got a phone interview. It lasted about 40 min. Other than some standard interview questions that you gonna get most of the time, the interviewer gave two more puzzles for you to solve. The entire process was smooth. I thought I did a good job, but they apparently they did not hire me.

First, I was asked some puzzles by email, which I have included below. The card question was not hard, but I would have found the dog/swimmer question difficult without some hints. Luckily I had already seen that question in the form of the Fox and Duck puzzle. There was one more question involving the speed of light. They then interviewed me over the phone and proceeded to ask more puzzle questions, including the marble puzzle that the other reviewer mentioned and the heaviest of 8 stones on a 2 pan balance question and possibly some others. It was sort of uncomfortable to be on the phone with someone while working through these and I may have been on the phone for 1.5 hours! Apparently, they like what they heard somewhat and so asked me in for an interview. First I talked briefly with the guy hiring for the position. Then, they had me talk to a panel, including an HR guy and 2 employees working that same position. The HR guy was nice and professional, but of the 2 others, one seemed bored and annoyed to be there and continued working on her laptop during the process. The other wasn't particularly engaged either but at least was more polite. They mostly asked questions about my experience and nothing too technical or out of the ordinary. I was rather put off by their attitudes. Then, I talked to the guy hiring again and he explained the product which is a sort of logical language for specifying criteria for creating schedules, ie. "Doctor A works Tues and Thurs ", "Doctor C must work with Doctor B", "there must be at least 3 doctors on weekdays" etc. etc. He had me learn the basics of the language and then answer questions about how to encode various rules. I answered them well at first and then he continued to ask more. At some point I was stumped by a question (Sorry, I forgot the exact question) but it was something like, express these rules with an equality and when I took too long, he finally said, "well, this probably wouldn't be very interesting to you, so maybe we'll end the interview" I have to admit he was right. It seemed that the job was going to be super tedious.
