The first phone call with HR was very pleasant and casual, we talked about my background and experience, softwares I've used and projects I've worked on. Followed by an one hour video interview with a panel of 4 people. The interviewers introduced themselves and then started firing questions. It honestly felt like they didn't care who you are as a person or what your career goal is. They wanted a machine more than a team member and they would question you for being enthusiastic which is really really strange. Definitely not recommend for folks who are passionate about actuarial science to work in their actuarial team. It's just not right.

I was going to email them to withdraw myself from candidacy before my last interview but decided to just use the last one as practice. I definitely would not have accepted if there would have been an offer.
The work we do is very valuable and there is a very limited number of us. We are in high demand and we do not need to settle for companies like these. There are many out there that actually care about their employees and appreciate the value of an actuary.

Half of the people I interviewed with made me feel like they were confusing me for a machine or some efficient product they were looking to purchase. All questions were very technical and there were no introductions. They said hello and then they started firing questions and it was just a very strange and cold process from start to finish.
