Started out with a normal interview process that included multiple rounds of interviews with a total of six members across multiple departments. Mostly 1:1 interviews and one panel interview with a total of two Managers and myself. People explained who they were and their roles and proceeded to ask you about yourself and your experience. About thirty minute meetings for each session. First, it was not clear how many people I was scheduled to meet with. After I met one individual, I was told another person wanted to interview a few days/week later. In the end, I believe I met with a total of six people, mainly Managers and Directors over various departments. After spending four weeks of interviewing with six people across the organization, I was advised the team was "very interested" in moving forward after my interview process and would get back to me soon. I continued to follow-up each week requesting an update as I had an offer in-hand from another company as well as finalizing a few other interviews with other companies. I was advised each time that the team was still interested but has not completed their recruiting efforts. After two more months of following-up every week requesting an update, I realized they were simply playing games and leading me on. It felt dragged out for whatever reason, and they were not seriously considering me for a position. I spent over 3 months going through the entire recruiting process and finally gave up requesting updates as the communication from them was extremely poor, as I had to request an update every week and receiving the same "they are still interested in you" response over and over felt like they lead me on. Once I stopped requesting updates from them, I never heard anything back after that. Randomly, 3 months later I received an automated message stating I did not get the position as the company went with another candidate. Fortunately, I had already started a new position elsewhere and moved on. Overall, a very poor recruiting experience with Lincoln, I have never experienced a situation with an organization that continuously stated the team was "interested in me and to wait another week for the next steps" and then completely ghost me with no update. Hopefully that was a one-off situation with me.
