I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at LinkedIn (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2017
Interview
Its simple and everyone at LinkedIn were excited to bring me onsite for an in-person interview. I was given a project to prep for which was simple. We all agreed during the phone and prior to going onsite that I can really help the organization in their expansion plans and deployment of a major acquisition. That quickly changed when I came onsite and they saw that I am a seasoned professional - ie. not a millenial. My observation at the LinkedIn office is that it was a college campus and all about the same age.
I obviously did not get an offer regardless of our agreement during the phone interview process. My presentation was outstanding as described by two of the three interviewers. At this point, I will say that LinkedIn is a AGE bigot.
I was a victim of age bigotry.
There were four rounds of interviews. Started with Phone screening from Recruiter, followed by hiring manager interview and thereafter peer interview and ended with panel interview. Panel interview consisted of a case study.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Hong Kong) in Jul 2024
Interview
I was approached by a LinkedIn in-house recruiter in July 2024, and interviewed during that month. The process included 4 interview rounds across 2 weeks.
Round 1: HR Interview
Round 2: Hiring Manager Interview
Round 3: Peer Interview
Round 4: Case Study (1-week prep) followed by a Panel Interview with the Hiring Manager and Head of Sales (1.5 hours)
It was overall a very enjoyable experience. At each stage, you could tell the interviewers spent time looking into your profile and asked thought-provoking questions. They showed interest in your responses and compelled you to share more about yourself and your experiences. The interviewers were all personable and displayed top-tier professionalism throughout the interview process.
