I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn (New York, NY) in May 2017
Interview
The first round was with a recruiter and was largely fit-based.
The second round was with a junior on the Sales Operations team. The first 30 minutes was fit-based, and the second 30 minutes was an Excel test. This was not difficult but brush up on your pivot tables.
The third round was a case interview with the hiring manager. In advance I was told to understand case interview formats and to study LinkedIn's products and business. However, the case interview had nothing to do with LinkedIn's products or business; it was a totally unrelated business case (movie theater M&A) to test general analytical ability. I wish I had spent less time studying LinkedIn's Sales Operations practices and more time preparing as though I was going to interview at McKinsey/Bain/BCG. The hiring manager was ex-Bain and was clearly looking for someone of a similar background.

Question 1
Should this movie theater buy this other movie theater?
Fairly straightforward. Case study and rounds with team, other stakeholders and hiring manager. Case study is manageable, Sql knowledge is a must. HR can take a while to get back to you.
4-5 rounds starting with screening call with the recruiter, excel/ SQL skills test, hiring manager round with problem solving questions, stakeholder interview which is mostly on behavioural questions such as strengths and weaknesses, having difficult conversations at work
I applied online. I interviewed at LinkedIn (New York, NY) in Mar 2020
Interview
Applied online and heard back from recruiter for a phone screen. The rest of the interview process was as follows.
R1. Phone screen with recruiter. Typical behavioral questions
R2. Technical Excel and SQL test. It was a set time and had one hour to complete, but the interviewer did not watch me the entire time. They explained to me then told me to email it to them when finished. It was not difficult if you are familiar with Excel and basic SQL.
R3. 30 min hiring manager video interview. Behavioral questions and one short hypothetical / case question (no numbers involved. all conceptual).
R4. Virtual onsite. Met with 4 people for 30 minutes each. Mostly behavioral. One case interview about sales forecasting that was also conceptual with no numbers involved.
After onsite, recruiter scheduled a call to let me know I was not selected. The feedback they gave was a bit disappointing as I thought I mentioned their reasoning prior to the onsite. I could not have addressed this feedback without misrepresenting my work experience.
