I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at LinkedIn (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2018
Interview
1) initial outreach from recruiter via LinkedIn
2) initial 30 min phone screen with recruiter mostly reviewing the role and my background
3) 30 min phone screen with the hiring manager reviewing the role and team
4) 4 x 30 min conversations with members of the team asking mostly behavioral based questions evaluating my ability to do the role and also team fit
5) 2 x 45 min conversation with a director of both PMM and product management asking mostly case study type questions (you are the pmm for x product, how would you launch it into the market)
Along the way I was working with a single recruiter who scheduled all interviews, prepped me ahead of time, and just generally did a great job keeping me in the loop. I found they process, from initial conversation to offer, to be very smooth with transparent communication throughout. I was also pleasantly surprised that the hiring manager was willing to connect post conversation on LinkedIn and answer a few additional questions. The extra communication really helped me in further conversations because I was clear on the job expectations, desired skill sets and team structure.
Tip: Research and be very familiar with the LinkedIn culture ahead of all interviews. The mission statement and core values are posted online. Be prepared to have a quick elevator statement describing your background and work experience highlighting the parts most applicable to the role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Each interview always started off with a variation of ‘tell me about your background’
The behavioral questions mostly related to pmm responsibilities such as gtm, collaboration with sales/marketing/product, communication etc.
The case study question was product specific. ‘Assume you are the pmm for X and the company has set a large adoption goal. How would you bring that product to market to reach the adoption goal?’
Each interviewer also asked ‘why do you want to work for linkedin’
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn in Jun 2022
Interview
It was amazing. I've always wanted to work at LinkedIn but this process further cemented it.
I applied on an off chance and scaled through to the final stage which was the case study. Unfortunately, while it came down to myself and another candidate, I did not get an offer and have been absolutely gutted about it.
Perhaps there will be another chance in the future because it has been the absolutely best interviewing process I have ever gone through.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn in May 2022
Interview
This was the BEST interview process I ever experienced. The recruiting team knows their stuff! SO well organized from start to finish.
HR screening with an amazing member of the talent team who explained the org structure, nuances with roles and titles, and knew an in-depth amount of knowledge about the role I applied for which was a refreshing change from other companies I was interviewing with. Then I had a 1:1 with my hiring manager, and a "panel" which featured meeting with 2 other cross-functional partners and the director of the team. Then they made me an offer within the next week! No sitting around wondering where I stood, the recruiter kept me up to date throughout the process.

Interview
Great process. Interviewed with recruiter, then director of marketing, then had a panel round interview with a case study. Didn't do too well on the case study portion as I wasn't able to validate many of my points as thorough and detailed as they would have liked.
