I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn in Aug 2018
Interview
recruiter call, hiring manager call, excel test, panel with Sales Ops and Strat team, interview with Sales counterparts
it doesn't seem people who are involved in the interview process are very informed. my person seemed really annoyed that i came late to the interview. but she didn't realize that i had come to the site 30 min early and the HR escort had come really late to bring me to the room.
Excel test, case study over phone, Several rounds in person, then a follow up once more in person. Thorough, but moved reasonably quick to provide feedback. Good contact with the recruiter throughout
I applied online. I interviewed at LinkedIn (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2021
Interview
The first round was a phone call with the recruiter (~30 min).
After that was a SQL/Excel take home test (45 min).
Then, it was an interview with the hiring manager (45 min), mainly behavioral and 2 case study questions.
After I went through the hiring manager interview, I was simply ghosted. No message regarding next steps, or any rejection message. I have followed up with both the recruiter and the hiring manager, however no response. I was pretty disappointed about how the end of the interview process played out.

Question 1
Tell me about a project you were involved in.
What does strategic planning mean to you? Why Sales Ops?
What motivates you?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn (New York, NY) in Mar 2020
Interview
Applied through LinkedIn. Received contact from recruiter for 30 minute call. All behavioral questions.
Next step was online technical Excel and SQL test. I had one hour to complete. It was not live (somebody did not watch you while you did it). Was not too difficult if you are used to using pivot tables and can run simple SQL queries.
Then had video call with hiring manager. All behavioral.
Final step was on-site with 4 people. 3 behavioral and one case. Case was not a typical consulting case and was more like brainstorming.
Received a call two days later that I did not get the position. I felt the rejection reason was a bit weak considering I passed in all other areas and they knew my background before going through all the rounds. Maybe the other candidate was just better.
