I got a quick response the same day from the recruiter, I was pleasantly surprised since the posting was up for some weeks before.
Had a call two days later with the Talent manager who was very polite and friendly, but I sensed some hesitation. I was contacted the following week (two working days later) to set up an interview within a few days, which I accepted. However they came back to me the same day, saying that the HM was no longer available for interviews for the next two weeks. I booked in another time with them, and had the in person interview which for me went well and was a good discussion - I was quickly put at ease. At the end, no next step was verbalised. When I tried to dig deeper, I was told that some candidates were further along in the process than me. I interpreted this as I was too late in the process, and so I wondered why the interview was even set up in the first place. I reached out to the talent manager a week later for some feedback, and though I did not get a reply, the HM contacted me personally to explain that someone else was chosen as they were further along the process, but he wanted to stay in touch and liked my profile for the position.
The only downside to this very pleasant process was to have clear details as to why I may not have been a good fit, or which areas needed room for improvement so that I can carry that back for my other interviews, this part seemed a bit mysterious or secretive in spite of my questions.
