The position was about Java developer. I got a call from recruiter initially. 1. Introductory round with recruiter 2. Technical round - 1 hour 3. Technical round - 1 hour with system design 4. Hiring manager - 2 rounds Here comes weird parts: The position was about java developer and previous rounds were revolving around that. They told me there would be one round with the hiring manager. Instead got 2 rounds. In the first Hiring manager round, they needed PHP experience and it was pretty much a behavioural round. The second round was the weirdest of all. The interviewer was 15 mins late, never apologized and started boasting about himself instead of team, company, culture or product. He told me he worked in Amazon and some startups, got different promotions and wasted another 15 mins here. In the last 30 mins, he asked leetcode medium (DP question) and design a chat system with an audio & video call facility. Overall pretty bad experience. It seemed there were communication gaps and some unprofessional behaviour. Haven't heard back from them about the decision.
