I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Localytics (Boston, MA) in Apr 2014
Interview
Completely unprofessional and the worst interview experience I have ever had....
I had an initial phone interview with a HR representative that was pretty typical. Went over sales background, role at current company and then over a background of Localytics. Then was invited invited for an on-site interview.
This is where got ridiculous.... They are in the process of moving to a larger office so it was understandable that they were scrambling for a spot to hold the interview. We tried to find an empty office but then got bumped around and searched for a spot. We ended up going up a floor to a rented out office of a law firm where there was no heat or lights. After meeting with the HR person I had a second interview with a Sales manager which lasted about 20 minutes and never really dove into the details of open position. The third part was supposed to be with the VP sales and they couldn't even find him! After a few minutes it was determined that he wasn't able to get into the office that afternoon. The HR person asked if it was OK to have a call with him at a later time preferable the next day. After asking for available times to have the phone interview, I emailed a few time slots that would work and thanked him for his time.
I never received an email back. It was a complete waste of time taking the day off and traveling to spend about 30 minutes to speak with 1 new person! I would have at least appreciated an apology for wasting time.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Localytics in Dec 2014
Interview
After applying I was contacted by the Recruiting Coordinator who set up call with one of the recruiters. The call was focused primarily on my research on the company and my background selling SaaS software. I was invited in and met with 2 people, a director and a rep. The in-person interview was focused on my sales background and understanding of the space. Overall it was a solid interview and I left feeling that I was able to represent my skills.
