Brief phone interview then all-day series of in-person interviews. The interview will include a programming test. They will sit you at a computer with a sheet of paper with some problems on it and leave you alone. They will give you a very brief description of what you will be working on before you arrive. They will tell you that you can program in any language you like and ask you what language you'd like to use. it is important to note that there are right and wrong answers to this question! If you answer incorrectly, I wouldn't even bother showing up to the interview. Again, you must be experienced with the technologies (languages, etc.) that they use. They will say it's not important but since most of your interview questions will involve sample code or programming in those languages, you will be at a severe disadvantage if you are not at least moderately proficient. You can be a great engineer but if you have to ask about the meaning of some Ruby or Javascript syntax you will be docked. All it takes is one bad interview to knock you out of the game. Afterwards, it took almost 2 weeks to hear back from them. Ideally a company really should let know within a reasonable amount of time if they don't want to move forward. I ranked the overall experience as negative mostly due to the complete lack of communication after the day of in-person interviews.
