I applied online. I interviewed at Loft Orbital Solutions (San Francisco, CA) in May 2025
Interview
Recruiter screen went well. Recruiter emailed me after the call to send available times for a technical interview with an engineer (no scheduling tool). I emailed many different times to the recruiter, but got completely ghosted. Tried sending multiple follow up emails to see if there were any issues or if the times didn’t work but got no response. Not sure what happened or why a technical interview was even attempted to be scheduled in the first place. Wish they would have been more upfront if the position had been filled or they didn’t like the recruiter screen.

Question 1
Background experience, motivation for changing jobs
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Loft Orbital Solutions (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2024
Interview
1- First Screen with HR
2- Background/experience review with Hiring Manager
3- At home code challenge
There an additional step with multiple peers to discuss the challenge of step 3.
Overall communication experience was the worst and showed a great amount of respect by the candidates time.
I had read some similar reviews but decided to ignore it. It was my mistake. Usually I feel like the interview process is respectful and a leaning process even if does not end up in a offer. With Loft I just feel that was a waste of time.
I only had feedback on interviews by sending follow up email asking for it. Multiple days without any feedback. After requesting a challenge that does not take 6h at all (some of the setup requirements are not even compatible), I got a rejection email without further explanation. I sent back a new email asking for additional feedback, which was completely ignored.
The interview process showed a complete lack of respect by the candidates, while in theory the company seems very interesting, after this experience I feel like I dodged a bullet and I would definitely not recommend it to anyone.
