I was called to set up an interview, went to my first one and that manager transferred my application to a location closer to me. After interviewing twice there, things seemed to be going well, we even discussed uniform and start date, but I never got a phone call regarding the position.

Typical interview at a restaurant. Walked in and filled out an application. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and was told that the hiring manager was unavailable, but they would call if interested. They called the next day, I interviewed and got the job.
