My experience interviewing with Lonza was disappointing, primarily due to how impersonal and poorly managed the process felt.
It started with a screening performed by an AI robot. This lack of a human touch carried through, which made it difficult to feel genuinely valued as a candidate.
More disappointing was the lack of follow-through from the Lonza recruiter after the screening call with a human being. I was given clear expectations regarding timelines for feedback and next steps, but these were not upheld. Despite being told I would be updated and me following up after not hearing back in the promised time frame, I did not receive any communication. This lack of transparency and accountability created unnecessary uncertainty and reflected poorly on the overall candidate experience. Out of respect for the time and effort candidates put into their applications, the least Lonza recruitment could do is stick to what they say they would do and just send an email notification.
