Long process for such work responsibilities, they look for a very specific profile. You must go through at least 3 interviews with different people (HR and store manager) which makes the process quite long.
I interviewed with Louis Vuitton for what was originally presented as a Store Manager role. However, toward the end of the interview, the position was suddenly changed to Client Development Manager, without any prior notice, she said the Store Manager role is filled internally and they are looking to fill the CDM role by basically luring people looking for SM position.
After the interview, I was strung along for nearly two weeks with no updates, despite following up professionally. Communication was poor throughout. To make matters worse, I received the rejection via email at 9PM on a Sunday…a tone deaf and inconsiderate way to close out a lengthy and confusing process.
As someone with over a decade in luxury retail, I expected a much more respectful and transparent hiring experience from a brand like Louis Vuitton. This left a sour impression of the internal culture and how talent is treated.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Louis Vuitton in Apr 2015
Interview
I had an interview with area manager and retail director, the interview was about 30 mins, most questions are related to retail operations, team management and client management, and they like to hear your action plan when you were in challenging sales environment.
