From the first contact with the recruiting team to my final interview, every person I spoke with made me feel like Lovevery was the right place for me. The entire process was warm, respectful, and truly human. I wasn’t just being evaluated—I was being welcomed into a conversation.
A moment that really stood out was during my final interview with the VP. Just minutes before it started, I lost power at home. I immediately sent an email explaining the situation, and they responded with complete understanding. Fortunately, the power came back in time, and we were able to continue with the interview without needing to reschedule. Their kindness and flexibility in that moment reflected the culture I later experienced as an employee.
It’s rare to feel so supported and seen as a candidate, but that was my experience at Lovevery—from start to finish.

The first interview included a live coding exercise focused on solving an algorithmic problem using TDD. I appreciated that it wasn’t about speed, but about how I approached testing, naming, and problem-solving.
Later rounds were more conversational and focused on my past experience, how I collaborate, and my understanding of system design

I first met with a recruiter, then interviewed with the relevant team that I would be working with. I ended up declining during the process, but everyone that I met and spoke with seemed genuinely happy and fulfilled.

Interview
They are looking for ruby devs only and were clear about that from the beginning. Most of the technical conversations had were around RoR, like migrations from monolith to microservices, arch choices, design choices. The recruiter that reached out to me also prepped me for these conversations, and I was never asked to do any live coding, only a take home, which was admittedly challenging and time consuming, but a well developed exercise that we leveraged for the loop conversations.
Overall, this was one of the fastest processes from start to finish with respect for my other timelines and mindfulness over expectations throughout. I ended up not getting to the very end as I accepted another offer, but I have a lot of respect for their process efficiency.
