I applied online and got a call a week later. Whomever called me to setup the interview didn't tell me their name or ask any questions over the phone. They told me when the interviewer was available to meet, I picked a time, and that was that. I showed up to the store and went to the service desk and when they called the interviewer to let her know I was there she acted confused. She forgot she even had the interview. She came up and met me and told me it would be one moment, so I waited, and then we went back to the office. She was the ASM for zone 1(which I only found out by looking around in the training room) and I didn't even meet the Store Manager or HR manager. We went through the normal process of scenario questions, which are easy to answer if you have any experience(I've worked in a Lowe's before). She was interactive when asking the questions and smiled but still seemed a little distant. After it was over she said I would either get an email or phone call today letting me know. Overall the interview process was very unprofessional. Lowe's has a policy where they have to interview a certain amount of people before they can hire anyone, even if they know who they want. I have a strong feeling they had an internal candidate from the store who they already picked but still had to get their quota of interview people before they could officially select a person, so I never was even in the running.
