I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lowell General Hospital in May 2012
Interview
I met with the hiring manager during my initial interview. He clearly informed me about the position that I was applying for in detail. The manager pointed out that there may be times when we have to go hands on with patients who may become physically violent. Although, he made one thing clear - our initial intervention with anyone who is escalated starts with verbal intervention. The initial interview went really well in my opinion.
The second step in the interviewing process was the peer interview. I met with a panel of five security officers during the second round. Each one of them ask me situational questions pertaining to the position and what I would do in when confronted with them. Needless to say, I made it through the second round unscathed. I felt very comfortable speaking to these individual. I knew right then that I would definitely want to be a part of this special team.

Question 1
The one question that caught me off guard was asked during the second phase of the interview. What would you do if you see one of your colleague lose control of his / her temper during a physical intervention with a patient and did something unethical?
